Return and Refund Policy – DIY Steel Supply

DIY Steel Supply is committed to providing assistance to customers who want to return or exchange items bought our stores or through our website. Our returns policy complements your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or Consumer Guarantees Act (NZ).

When bringing back items to our stores, kindly notify our staff at the cashier upon arrival.

Change of Mind Returns/Exchanges

With Receipt or Tax Invoice, we will issue a refund.

The items being returned must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a condition suitable for resale.

Ensure that your receipts and tax invoices are intact and valid.

Refunds will be processed using the initial payment method. If the original card is unavailable, we’ll require proof of identity.

Please note that the original credit card must be presented to receive a refund.

Without Proof of Purchase:

We’ll record your proof of identification (e.g., driver’s license).

You’ll be offered an exchange voucher or goods in similar to the ones being returned.

All items for exchange must be unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale.

Exchange vouchers are valid from the date of issue and can be redeemed at any of our stores.

For online purchases, you can return them in-store with the tax invoice or by contacting us at support@diysteelsuppply.com.au.

Exceptions:

Unfortunately we cannot offer a change of mind refund or exchange on the following items:

Custom-made products

Any product/s specifically cut to size at your request

Paint spray

Used or damaged products that are not suitable for resale

Our products come with guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product is faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for its intended purpose, or does not match the sample or description, you are entitled to a replacement, refund, or repair.

Keep your receipt as proof of purchase. Our Team Members may record proof of identification for returns without proof of purchase.
