Pergola DIY
Step 1 Holes Digging
Prepare 200mmX600mm holes for post setting. For sandy soil, holes needs to be more than 600mm, pls consult your engineer.
Step 2 Posts and Beams Setting
Fill the holes with concrete and set the posts upright. Ensure that the distance between the posts at the top is equal to the distance at the bottom.
Step 3 Install Top Hat Batterns
Fix the top hat battens onto the beams using metal screws, spaced at intervals of 600–800 mm
Step 4 Install Sheets
Fix the corrugated sheets onto the battens with metal screws at 200–300 mm intervals along each batten, ensuring proper side and end overlaps
Step 5 Install Flashing
Fixe the flashing onto the sheets with metal screws
Step 6 Install Gutters, Downpipe pops, Downpipe
Fix the gutter holder brackets to the beams. Install the gutter onto the brackets, then connect the downpipe to the gutter using downpipe pops
Step 7 Finish
